who needs rocketshipping proof in the anime when surely the manga will do?

After being seriously burned by the vitriol spewing from an angry guestbook message, I have come to realise that some people in this world remain ignorant of one little fact.

THE POKEMON TELEVISION SERIES AND THE POKEMON MANGA ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS!

Yes, they're based on the same characters, yes, they run along similar parallels.

No, they're not the same thing.

The reason I'm writing this message is due to a Rocket-Shipper finally finding one piece of evidence to back up their ridiculous claim that Jesse and James are in love.

Since Rocket-Shippers only have about 2 pieces of evidence (and shaky evidence at that) this is a pretty huge deal for them, and they triumphantly trumpeted it into our Guestbook.

A picture of Musashi and Kojiro, hugging, apparently married and pregnant, with Nyase waving a derisive arm at them.

Like the newspaper that bought Hitler's Diaries, Rocketshippers now thought they were onto a winner. And like said Newspaper, they were dead wrong.

The picture in question is done by talented Manga artist Toshihiro Ono, and as anyone who has read his manga can attest, his work is very amusing, often themed for the more mature reader....

AND TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM THE T.V SERIES!

In Toshihiro Ono's Manga, which is only his interpretations of the characters, not those of the animators, Ash is often falling in love and actually has quite a few perves at Misty, who gets very aggravated but also finds herself blushing and impressed by his clumsy attempts at flattery.

She also sighs at her apparent 'thing for younger men' and even contemplated being Mikey's girlfriend (Mikey was the little kid in the T.V Series who chose not to evolve his Eevee) despite him being even younger than Ash!

Brock drives a truck and is truly suave when it comes to the ladies, who are often impressed by his come ons.

Gary has a sister (with whom Ash is in love) and Damian. who in the t.v series was a cruel, uncaring Trainer, is actually a caring, sensitive Trainer who has been in a coma for days and after discovering his Charmander has run away....... basically we are saying that the anime world of Pokemon is very different to the manga world of Pokemon.

Each person can choose to follow one of the other and here we follow the anime and this page is the only reference to the manag you will find on this site.
